It is highly recommended that all paddlers can swim. We do not have a set minimum age for our boat tours. We like to start accepting paddlers at 3 years of age and it is highly recommended that any paddler under 13 goes in a tandem kayak with a responsible adult. There is no age limit, but the participant must feel confident that they are healthy enough to be safe on the water.

Yes, our kayaks can only handle 275 pounds for a single kayak and 525 pounds for a tandem. There is no weight limit for our boat tours, but the participants need to be able to step up and down onto the deck of our boat while docked.

You can see a variety of wildlife on our ocean tours including, but not limited to gray whales, harbor seals, sea lions, jellyfish, multiple types of sea birds as well as intertidal critters like sea stars, urchin, and sea anemones. You will also see a dramatic coastline with cliffs, kelp forests and sea stacks.
On our river tours you can see a variety of wildlife like river otters, muskrat, weasels, harbor seals, and tons of birds like eagles, osprey, great blue heron, hawk, and kingfisher. Some of our freshwater tours are on Wild and Scenic designated rivers so the natural beauty is world class.

We highly recommend bringing your camera on a boat tour. For our paddling tours, it might be best to leave the camera behind unless it is rated for use in and around water. Our guides will be sure to snap some photos of you while you’re out on your tour as well.
